WYSE TECH WINTERM 8235LE(96MB FLASH/128MB ( 902023-09 )

Editorial Review:Winterm thin clients are a simpler and easier way to deliver the productivity and application flexibility of a PC without the PC downsides of high service costs, low reliability, and short product life. Because thin clients are designed with no moving parts that can break down or lose data, they deliver greater data security and virus resistance, and significantly increased reliability versus a PC. They are quiet, easy-to-deploy, and simple to manage remotely. The Winterm 8235LE is a flexible terminal for those who need cost effective access to local Windows applications which cannot be server-based. Because the Winterm 8235LE utilizes the Microsoft Windows NT 4.0 Embedded operating system 2, Windows applications which cannot be server-based can be embedded in the terminal, multimedia applications can be accessed locally, and with local Internet Explorer 5.5, there is full Internet and intranet access with plug-in support. The Winterm 8235LE has a tiny footprint, an attractive design, and can be mounted easily on the wall or the back of your monitor. It comes with fully integrated 16-bit stereo sound capability, 10/100BaseT network support, and optimized I/O with four USB ports. With the Winterm 8235LE administrators can select either the Microsoft RDP 5 or Citrix ICA 6 protocol and can deploy the latest ICA technology, such as local Program Neighborhood. Administrators can also attach to any back-end mainframe or legacy server using 15 resident 3 terminal emulations. The Winterm 8235LE also provides the ability to join the Windows NT domain model for Windows NT management and security via policies and profiles, and also provides VNC remote desktop management.Administrators prefer Winterm terminals because they can be set up and added to the network quickly using the simple set-up wizard - and can be easily managed with Wyse Rapport client management software, included with the terminal.
